The name comes from its majestic size, striking appearance, and forest-dwelling habits, giving it a “kingly” presence in the jungle environment.

It’s not literally a “king of the jungle” like a lion, but the nickname reflects its dominance among butterflies in its habitat and the impressive visual impact of its wings. So it was just perfect for Leo.
